We are copy cat???

This morning, I read an e-newspaper which carried the title something like this "chienese educational system in Malaysia only create copy cat." This was the statement of a local well recognized historian and research prof.

He went on commented and argued that how many innovation or invention had been from the creative mind of such chinese educated talents! I find this is one most irresponsible comment of all. Not because I am chinese educated but I am responding base on what I am now.

1) Japan is well known as copy cat after WW2 but now what about them? They are the leader in automobile and electronic.

2) USB thumb drive... if I am not mistaken, this is a creation of a local Chinese educated guy who venture his innovation in Taiwan.

3) blablabla

The innovation is not blocked by the media of education system. So prof, are you refering that there isn't any talented art work from Chinese education followers? How many innovations has the western media education system had helped to make Malaysian proud with the world class accepted innovation?

I really could not understand why a person like this is so skeptical in mindset but yet spoke without data.

my old PC

Moment ago, perhaps only yesterday, I bought home a 20" LCD to hook to my old Dell PC and placed them at side of the bed. The PC has been serving me for at least 5 years without failure except for once I blew the power supply with 220V while it was indeed set at 110V (upon return from US)

With the newly purchased LCD, the old PC seems to be reborn with new life and usage. All of sudden, I could find the PC useful again. Well at least, I could watch movie at ease on bed. Perhaps this is also a signal to myself that I need to reborn... I am finding my life now abit too repetative and monotonoues. What can be the inspiration to my life now?

Maxis...Maybank...my luck

Today is the listing of Maxis to KLSE. It was really fortunate that I had been "allocated" 3 lots sucessfully, well at least base on Maybank2u eshare status. Nevertheless, the joy faded as soon as when I checked up the CDS did not really deposit with any share. Thus I made a few calls, only to great disappointment that the share allocation had been rejected due to the CDS I used to apply the eshare is a nominee account.... What is this mean? Well it meant I did not acquire any discounted share. I was never told that the online account I am using is indeed a nominee account. I did not know this since the account active in 2003.
The complaint that I really did not like is that at the eshare application, there is no statement warning of which nominee account is not authorized for IPO. A key lesson learn with a few thousand lost...
I was never this lucky..

A view to a kill

This evening, when approaching the car, I encounter a deadly kill scene... They were killing the bees. It was so closed as the bees hive was just inch above my parking. I never withness such killing scene but I thought this type of killing only be carried out at night? I could be wrong. I could only lock inside the car and watching without anything could be done.

Another visit to Taiping Zoon again

Having no where to go for the kids with the approaching school holiday, I brought the kids to the nearby zoo again. I remembered we were there at the end of last year and the little one was afraid of riding the train... It was not any more for now and he indeed enjoy the ride more.
The zoo still the same but a little not well kept now with a lot of weeds grow taller than normal. The maintenance of the zoo must work out something or else the appearance will be bad and the habitat also will not suit the animals. Moment ago, I had bought an entry level digicam for the elder and so he is now snapping images everywhere. From the images he caught, there is sight of grow up for the elder one. He could zoom and focus to the animals well. I hope he will well keep the camera, unlike other gadget like the NDS declared permanant damaged not long ago after servicing for slightly more than 2 years old.

A quick snap to Gunung Lang

Last Sunday, the kids and I woke up in the early morning for the mission to renew their passport. We arrived the immigration at 8.12am but to our disappointment that the daily numbering had been run out while we were still queuing up. This is really annoying...

Later we went to the Gunung Lang to rest our upset. This place is really scenery and I do think that it is a potential for tourist haven if it is managed properly. If it is setup with some fun park at the other side, like what Sentosa has, I believed it will be an added spot in Ipoh besides only those dull caves. Perhaps if I stroke the lottery, I will buy this land for theme park development. Well at least I dare to dream..

My niece passed me a packet of facial masks for free and requested I tried out as according to her who is in her early 20 that I looked like elderly... I, however have not tried such type of facial care product. This would be the first in my entire life.

The first wasn't scary but instead very refreshing with the icy cold facial mask. It feels good and soon after the treatment, the face did feel smoother and I believed it is what this product is designed for. That is to give the user a refreshing feel.

After all, this isn't a bad experience at all. I would recommend this facial mask and it is really good.

Appreciation

The elder today surprised me with showing his won trophy for being performing excellence in computer studies. I only aware he is good in playing computer games and using it for some kind of drawing but never do i expect him to be well verse with PC. This is really an appreciation of the investment to have him attending the weekly computer class. Well done, kid

Deadly Kampar...

The name of Kampar suddenly topped the headlines recently, with the unexpected accident of claiming 6 lives. I really hope that there will be no more headlines for this sleeping old town.
May everyone be blessed from now on.
