WeiYang and UPSR

Today marked a significant day for the elder as he achieved a great result for his UPSR. He scored 5A 2B as compare to my initial target of 3A 4B. This results came with surprise as I do not have such expectation. We did however, gave attention to every nights lessons of trial questions and simple essay writing. Now the few months efforts really paid off. He appeared to be equally satisfied with the results and I need to find time to fulfill the promise i had made for him. An Iphone for his great success. SooKing, the kid has done well in the UPSR and i knew before you departed, you did voice out worry about his result. Now he has done it well and beyond our expectation. Dear, let's cheer and congratulate the kid together " Well Done Son"

I am getting spots of hair loss

For the past several weeks I had not noticed that I become hairless. There are at least 4 spots of no hair. All of sudden and over nights.

This has really resulted in lossing of confident of myself. Is this the sight of aging or something else. I do not know.

I went to seek medical attention today and the doc gave me 7 injection at the spots claiming that these are to be related to the stress of life. The hairs should be re-grow with treatment.

I believed I will listen to the doc and perhaps to be more cautious about the health...

I want my hairs back.

In Sept, the elder collected his IC. This marked he is a teenager and registered with Malaysian identity.

Also, he is growing taller and taller and almost same height with me now. If he would exercise more, I bet I will be the shorter one in coming years.

Btw, he will be going to the secondary school in January and I am really dilemma of his studies of which to be stay in the government school or private school for english medium. There are tremendous objection of sending him to the hostel when the school starts but all i wish to do is to help him to get independence sooner and to be able to take good care of himself. You know our son is so careless and carefree.

Pls guide me in this.

UPSR

After some struggle, the elder will finish his exam today. It would kind of relief for everyone. I hope he did well. I do not expect he will score but I can see he is trying. well it takes time.

well done kid

Elder register for IC

The elder celebrated his 12th birthday two weeks ago. I have delay his new IC issuance for some times. On sat, we went early to the registar for this purpose. He is rather eager as he combed his hairs and dressed up. The journey to the office took 15 minutes and the process another 20 minutes.

I also had my IC changed with Ipoh address. we will collect our new IC within 30 days. Good job for myself.

Sept 4 2011

Today marked the third year of your departure. We remember and so we wake up to have a visit to you. The kids were still doing fine although the elder remains as careless and the little one is more naughty.
In another week, it would be the mid autumn festival. I did not bring you any of the cookies but i did have a packet to your parents. They are doing as good. I have not been going down to Kampar lately as the elder needs to sit for his UPSR next week. btw, the elder will need to have registered for his IC soon. We planned to have it done this weekend.

Singapore Trip

I offered a trip to the kids of either Hong Kong or Singapore. Yet the elder picked Singapore and so we went to Singapore in the week of school holiday. We did not choose the plane route this time but instead we boarded on land cruise for a new experience. It would be at least 20 years I did not use bus to go to Singapore. The kids were excited as this would also mark the first time they would be on bus for this long journey.
The appearance of the bus was so so and so did the inner. The journey was tiring as it took 8 hours of bumpy cruise on the road. The kids slept all the way after some cartoon. It was 6 plus when we arrived at the custom for clearance. I reminded the kids that we need to chase the bus as what I used to. But now the situation had improved as there are dedicated parking for buses now. What an experience!
The kids really like Singapore for some reasons I did not know.. but I believed we have a great trip although we spent quite a lot. I mean quite a lot!

Wei Yang soon to be teenager

Wei Yang has his voice changed since few weeks ago. Now, the elder soon showing the sight of teenager. He also started to change with having an early morning bath after wake up. He is also locking himself at his room with his PC on and playing with his phone. I can get him responding to me faster by using sms instead of yelling aloud his name...

This is new age old and I hope i can live coping the changes better. I will try to understand more for this kid.

2011 mother day

It was another mother day and we visited you in the early morning although it was kind of later than 9.30am. The kids brought you the hand drawn card and we really hope you will see them. After that, we headed our way to your parent's home and stay for a while giving the kids to have some fun. I did not manage to have any gift to your mom, but leaving some cash for her. I will not forget as what you would have done. I will.
And this year could be the first year i cooked a meal for my mother but i am sorry that i did not manage to cook you at this day now. I am sorry. After all, we have other occassions that we cooked meal together. And you are always the one who did the chores. thanks, my wife!

Wei yang has his voice changed...

Every boy will have his voice change at the age of approximate 12-13 signalling the transistion to be a teenager. The elder one has his voice changed since last week and his voice is harsh. Dear, your son is growing up. This also reminded me that I need to have some talks with him real soon when he is soon emerging as teenager. He also likes to stay at his room with FB, games and internet. Like others, he has keen interests on phone sms and phone chatting with his fellow. Ahhhh... a sign of growing up.

Time really fast.... it is another year

Before I realized, it is soon approaching April. In the first week of April means a tradition of visitation. I arranged the session two weeks ahead of the actual date. I asked the kids to draw cards for you. And here there are, which I hope you can see them.
Wilson grows taller but thinner. He is now in standard 1 and attending drawing class every weekend. His character and behaviour resembled the mimic of me. He is still cute enough to give me speechless type of cute answers and responses.
Weiyang is now in standard 6 in which he will be sitting for his UPSR. I do not expect him to have flying color results and I yet to decide where he should be going for his secondary school. I am thinking of Chinese medium school, but can you tell me if this is also your thought?
The kids always spend a night or two with at sister's home. This is especially true for Weiyang. Wilson always wanted to stay at home but he follows the wish of his brother more as they are still joking and playing together. Btw, Weiyang really resembled your quiet character. The two kids are so much difference in characters. The result..... noise at home but I enjoy hearing the noises till i stop them

Hapyy Chinese New Year and 40th Years old

On my 40th birthday, it is also the eve of the 2011 Chinese New Year. My birthday always falls on around the chinese new year and hence normally there isn't any celebration.
But I knew that I will be cheer by my friends and my significant other. I blew off 4 candles on 4 slices of cakes. That marked me turning to 40th years old. Thx for the ice cream cake and it was memorable one.
It was the same chinese new year eve but I was only returning to home at 1.30pm after exiting from office. I bet the morning passed really fast as it was only a half-day work for me, having all directions passed down. The reunion dinner was also the same greatest. But I noticed that my mom grows elder now. I believed I will need to spend more time with her also she also nagging on me. Haha, all mother likes to do the same thing no matter the age of their kids and this is the mother nature.
The kids always enjoy new year as it is a long break for them and they can relax and enjoying leisurely at the grand parents' home.

Happy Chinese New Year, do you "celebrate" in the same way?

New year resolution....

It was just before end of 2010 that I set the next year resolution. And now it is the 4th week of January and fast approaching Chinese new year in another few days. Times is really flying.. The kids are growing and definitely also marking that I am getting more elderly. I will pass the mark of 40 in another couples of days and I really need to start maintain the health...
The age starts having effect to the physical...first, the eyes require slightly longer time to focus on nearby objects...
Ok, let me have more carrot!

For this year, I will need to cut down some weight.

First Day to School

Wilson went to standard one today as the afternoon session. We were following him at back without him noticing. This was done to train him to be more interpendence. It was a raining day and by the time we arrived at the school, there were already hundred of parents guarding their children. We did not approach Wilson although he was standing there inside the hall among with other fellow pupils and parents. I could not really understand why the parents are so much over protecting their kids by over accompanying them. They were holding the kids's hands without allowing them to be inside the line up; not till after reminded by teachers. I only watch from afar and I believed Wilson would not aware that we were around.
He was later led by a one-by-one line up walking to his classroom. I could see him in his school bag and sat on to the same chair. He was always talkative and soon enough he was chatting and could be over chatting with his new classmate. I did not bother him but took a quick nap at the canteen. We only approached him during the recess time. And again, the canteen was over crowded with parents. The seats were 90% taken up by the parents while pupils were getting difficulty to have a comfortable seat for the meal. The food counter could not be reached by the standard 1 pupils as there were only parents. I could not understand these parents... Come on, your kids needed to learn up the basic and you could not be there all the time. The sooner the kids settled down with the environment, the better for the kids and easier for you, parents. At the bell rang, Wilson became dependence on us as we were there. He claimed he could not know where to line up with. This was the consequences but I still shown him to look for the class sight. He abided and found his way. Later when he reached his class room again, then I knew that he had been shifted to a single seat at side, perhaps due to his overly talketive behaviour. I could also saw him signalling to the boy at front of his for some form of chatting... This is my boy..
I left the school at 3.30pm but only found out that it was really exhausting for me to be on this type of choir. But I would visit him again at my lunch break hour tomorrow. It would soon be 5.30pm today and I would need to be there again to fetch him home. Well done kid!

New milestone for Wilson

Today marks the starting of Wilson to school. He is really cute in his uniform. We arrived at the school right before 8am but there was already full of other pupils. He was smiling all the way and always responding to my camera. I led him to his classroom and he sat quietly at the chosen desk while we were submitting his particulars. Soon enough later, he started to chat with his nearby "class mate" and talking happily with his fellow new mate. I was kind of relief where seeing him mixing well at this limited times. Wilson alway more socialable as compare to his elder, who is always timid.
After the short waiting, we have completed the registration and the time stroke at 8.30am and so we had Wilson walked around his school compound to get to know whereabout is the school assembly hall, canteen and toilet. He did not seem to have difficulty to remember these simple landmark. We will visit the school next monday and I will accompany him from afar making sure he is ok with this new environment. Sooking, your son is in standard one now.
