New year resolution....

It was just before end of 2010 that I set the next year resolution. And now it is the 4th week of January and fast approaching Chinese new year in another few days. Times is really flying.. The kids are growing and definitely also marking that I am getting more elderly. I will pass the mark of 40 in another couples of days and I really need to start maintain the health...
The age starts having effect to the physical...first, the eyes require slightly longer time to focus on nearby objects...
Ok, let me have more carrot!

For this year, I will need to cut down some weight.

First Day to School

Wilson went to standard one today as the afternoon session. We were following him at back without him noticing. This was done to train him to be more interpendence. It was a raining day and by the time we arrived at the school, there were already hundred of parents guarding their children. We did not approach Wilson although he was standing there inside the hall among with other fellow pupils and parents. I could not really understand why the parents are so much over protecting their kids by over accompanying them. They were holding the kids's hands without allowing them to be inside the line up; not till after reminded by teachers. I only watch from afar and I believed Wilson would not aware that we were around.
He was later led by a one-by-one line up walking to his classroom. I could see him in his school bag and sat on to the same chair. He was always talkative and soon enough he was chatting and could be over chatting with his new classmate. I did not bother him but took a quick nap at the canteen. We only approached him during the recess time. And again, the canteen was over crowded with parents. The seats were 90% taken up by the parents while pupils were getting difficulty to have a comfortable seat for the meal. The food counter could not be reached by the standard 1 pupils as there were only parents. I could not understand these parents... Come on, your kids needed to learn up the basic and you could not be there all the time. The sooner the kids settled down with the environment, the better for the kids and easier for you, parents. At the bell rang, Wilson became dependence on us as we were there. He claimed he could not know where to line up with. This was the consequences but I still shown him to look for the class sight. He abided and found his way. Later when he reached his class room again, then I knew that he had been shifted to a single seat at side, perhaps due to his overly talketive behaviour. I could also saw him signalling to the boy at front of his for some form of chatting... This is my boy..
I left the school at 3.30pm but only found out that it was really exhausting for me to be on this type of choir. But I would visit him again at my lunch break hour tomorrow. It would soon be 5.30pm today and I would need to be there again to fetch him home. Well done kid!

New milestone for Wilson

Today marks the starting of Wilson to school. He is really cute in his uniform. We arrived at the school right before 8am but there was already full of other pupils. He was smiling all the way and always responding to my camera. I led him to his classroom and he sat quietly at the chosen desk while we were submitting his particulars. Soon enough later, he started to chat with his nearby "class mate" and talking happily with his fellow new mate. I was kind of relief where seeing him mixing well at this limited times. Wilson alway more socialable as compare to his elder, who is always timid.
After the short waiting, we have completed the registration and the time stroke at 8.30am and so we had Wilson walked around his school compound to get to know whereabout is the school assembly hall, canteen and toilet. He did not seem to have difficulty to remember these simple landmark. We will visit the school next monday and I will accompany him from afar making sure he is ok with this new environment. Sooking, your son is in standard one now.
