Back to my hobby again... if weather allows

I purchased and used these two telescopes since 2004 and had numerous nights of amazing gazing to the world of darkness for some "insight of future". I first learned to used telescope when I was on assignment to Arizona. Arizona is a excellent state for star gazing as the night skies are always clear. I saw planets, clusters of galaxies, nebulas etc. and it was the single hobby I had picked up but since back then to Malaysia, both of the scopes have been in storage until today. The night skies here are so damp and cloudy. By the time I finished setting up the scopes, half of the sky already packed with clouds and blocking all the interests.
When I un-packed the scopes, I was so upset as the humidity has indeed creeped into the scopes and causing some "damages" to the glass and it is un-cleanable...
I spent may be US4000 on the scopes including the accessories of lenses. One of the most expensive lens I possessed are the Denkmeier D21 pairs that costed US500 or so but I remember I got them at a discount by an astronomy hobbyist. If I were to buy the same setup here in Malaysia, it would simply cost more than a Kancil car and yet will require special orders and delivery. All of such gadgets were controlled item and only certain folk can conduct the imports...
With the kids growing up and may be I will re-gain my leisure time at night so as to go to a dark spot for this wonderful gazing again. I wish I have the time and may be my sons can be my accompany.
