There were three electronic firms in Kampar which had shifted its main operation to China or elsewhere leaving the plants here with minimum operation or total ceased. At the peak, there were over two thousand employees serving these three factories and there were head hunters everywhere to attract local to be the management teams. The busines at Kampar at those time (1991 - 1996) were excellent as every hawkers stalls were seen full with customers. All of these were history when the economic crisis stalked the world. There was no exception and these firms were badly affected with trimming down of work force to almost 95%. I still remembered I can see at least twenty or thirty blue factory buses queuing to take the employees but no may be at best only one or two still in operation.
