TVB Movies Center?

I remembered HK TVB movies only has authorized Golden Star (some years back...) and its own TVB outlets as only and only distribution channels for its movies either in VHS or now VCD with rental fees. I also remembered there were some blockbuster that required pre-booking and queue up for the movies (Journey to the West etc.) These are the memories always I remembered.

But at any VCD/DVD outlets now, I bet you will see this banner informing that there are TVB movies available at these outlets. When check, they are indeed selling the whole series of the movies in the forms of 1 or more DVD having all the episodes embedded within. The price per DVD I was informed as RM5 per disk. Each disk can hold up to 10 episode of VCD resolution movies and can be directly played at the DVD player. I do not know how much is the VCD rental now at the official TVB outlets (are they still exist??), but my memory told me that it was RM1 per VCD and must be returned within then next day. I also do not remember if I can see those original TVB outlets now as I do not bother to have these movies rented. I neither buy this DVD at these outlets.

I do not question the authenticity if these outlets actually paying loyalties or license fees as there will be some department enforcement check up for sure, but I am really amazed that the new information technology actually promote such conveniency openly and has been a form of natural life to some of us to have such conveniency. I bet everyone walks out from these outlets with handful of DVD are happy. Well, are we at fault?
